Finding a responsible, reputable and genuinely caring breeder can be quite challenging. After my previous dog died, I spent a long time doing my homework on finding the best Havanese breeder I could find. I was initially referred to Margaret at Delsol Havanese by a friend who is a breeder and involved in dog shows across North America - that referral, in itself, is telling of how amazing Margaret is! Nontheless, I did my research and was impressed at how thourough and responsible Margaret is as a breeder. During her phone interview with me back in 2020, I could tell that she truly does care about her pups and only places with the best families.

My family and I picked up our Ruby in December 2020 and we could not have been happier - she is the seetest, most loyal and loving companion - most importantly, she has a fabulous temperament, which is a testiment to Margaret's careful breeding standards. We were so impressed that we took the plunge and got a second puppy from Margaret in 2022! Our Scotty is the happiest most loveable and social boy! Ruby and Scotty are the best of friends. Margaret is always available for any questions and is extremely quick to offer suggestions or help. Thank you Margaret and DelSol Hacvanese for our two wonderful fur babies.

Almost Two years ago, I started looking for a second havanese. My girl Izzi ws turning 12 and I could not bare the thought that someday I would have to say "goodbye" and replace her. She was young enough to accept another dog into the family so, bringing in a second dog to make it's own place in our hearts seemed ideal. The breeder we had from 12 years ago was retired, so the search was on for a new one. I went online and found several. Margaret somehow stuck out to me. I gave her a call and the rest was history.

She was very friendly. I thought I was interviewing her. Turns out, quite the opposite she had been interviewing me. 45 minutes into the conversation she say " I can tell you right now I would place one of my pups in your home". Margaret does not lilghtly place her pups to anyone, I felt very honoured.

We were put on a wait list for March 2022 (this was June 2021) Mid July, I received a message, she had a pup available. She was to have gone to a breeder but she was not breedable. We were there the next day.

Margaret is always there for you. You contact her and she always responds as soon as she can. There are no questions too big or too small. She cares deeply about all her pups, even if she doesn't own them anymore. She is very invested in her dogs and her craft. I trust her completely. She makes all of us in her DelSol family acctually feel like family. Our new girl Lucia is our pride and joy. We couldn't be happier with our two wonderful Havanese. Lucia and Izzi are the best of friends. You can trust that you are going to get a wonderful pet from DelSol. Margaret is the best !!

We got our handsome boy Charlie, now two years old from DelSol Havanese and couldn't be happier. Margaret, the owner and breeder of DelSol Havanese ws in constant contact providing puppy pictures often so we could watch the growth and antics of Charlie.

Margaret interviewed us extensively before agreeing to let us have one of her pupippies and we appreciated how thourough and helpful she was and still is. We were sent home not only with Charlie byt with food, toys, blankets to make his transition to our household very smooth. We are so grateful to have Charlie in our lives. Before I tell you how wonderful Margaret at DelSol is, I want you to meet Charly. He is sweet, happy, full of love, solft like silk and the love of our retired lives.

I have dealt with many breeders before, we have previously had a cocker spaniel and a schnauzer. The meetings with these breeders were mediocre at best. When we decided to buy a havanese, I spoke with breeders across Canada, was not specially impressed.

I realized there was a breeder in Tillsonburg and called Margaret. I was so impressed with this call that we decided to visit DelSol. We received a friendly greeting and then simply fell in love with her, her husband and her dogs.This is not just a business with Margaret, she cares deeply for her dogs. I have seen her refuse to place a puppy if she did not think the home was in the best interest of her puppy.

I had a whole list of questions and she answered every one of them. Once I was done with all my questions, she smiled and said....it is my turn.

It was her turn to make sure Charly was going to a safe homewith us and that he would be happy.

She gave us so much information, Of all breeders we have met she stands apart, I would reccommed her. She is the best.
